September Is Life Insurance Awareness Month!

 In Blog

Did you know, 3 out of 10 Americans have no life insurance? And most Americans do not have the coverage that they need to protect their family from financial ruin. The average amount of life insurance coverage per American family is about $190,000. I think it’s safe to say that most people are under insured.

It’s seems strange though. Term insurance is so inexpensive nowadays. The term insurance wars of the late 90’s have brought rates down by over 60%. A healthy male age 40 can buy a $500,000 policy for a couple dollars a day.

Beginning in Jan, 2009 all life insurance companies must comply with the new 2001 Mortality and Morbidity Tables. These new tables factor in that Americans are living longer and healthier lives. What this really means to you is that life insurance will be getting cheaper and the term insurance wars will be starting all over again.
